As one of the first companies in the region, JRS had already started a company vaccination program since June 10. Yesterday marked the completion of the first round of vaccinations - the second round will follow in July.

For JRS, J. Rettenmaier & Söhne, Rosenberg-Holzmühle, targeted Covid19 management was an important task even in the early phase of the pandemic, which was actively tackled at all levels with combined forces in the company. In March 2020, a central task force was established at the company's headquarters for this purpose, in which the various corporate divisions were bundled and networked in interaction with management, human resources and external specialist consultants. As one of the first companies in the region, JRS was able to launch a company employee vaccination campaign beginning on June 10, 2021, in addition to an intensively used continuous testing program. Now on Thursday, the campaign has reached its first peak with the completion of more than 230 initial vaccinations. The second vaccination dates - also with Biontech vaccine - are already set for the end of July.
The intensive activities are no coincidence - as a supply-relevant manufacturing company, JRS is faced with the challenge of not only consistently protecting its employees and their health, but also meeting the demand for security of supply in pharmaceuticals, nutrition, and important basic industrial processes. Whether ingredients for the production of tablets all over the world, dietary fiber ballast for the nutrition of humans and animals - to eco cat litter - in almost all important areas of modern life, the plant-based JRS fiber products are difficult to replace.
"As a company, we bear a high responsibility, which we absolutely want to live up to through dedicated commitment in our daily work, even in difficult times!" is how JRS CEO Josef Otto Rettenmaier sums up the objective. "This only works if all forces in the company pull together - we have succeeded in doing this excellently with our COVID task force - for this I would like to thank all team colleagues who have dedicated themselves to this task with a high level of personal commitment - but also all other employees in our group of companies who have implemented our hygiene concepts in a disciplined and responsible manner. Only in this way were we able to keep the infection figures well below average and didn't have to suffer any major pandemic-related outages anywhere."
An important pillar of the sophisticated JRS hygiene and health concept is an intensively used, in-house test center with specially trained employees who ensure a continuous, daily testing program with a great deal of commitment.
Darek Lewin and Manfred Rupp have been members of the JRS Task Force Team since it was launched last year: "All employees, our trainees, interns and visitors have the opportunity to be tested during working hours. Through consistent contact tracing, our human resources team, in close coordination with the health department, ensures that chains of infection are broken immediately if cases of illness arise. Our success to date proves that our strategy is the right one. The close cooperation with the district administration, the district vaccination center and the German Red Cross has also paid off. We are grateful to be able to give our colleagues further reassurance through the company vaccination concept. We have also already made it possible for family members or trainees starting their apprenticeships in the fall to be vaccinated."
