VITACEL® Powdered Cellulose
Beside its broad use in pharmaceutical applications, the powdered cellulose approval as food additive in the European Union happened already in 1975. Powdered cellulose is a worldwide-accepted ingredient specified in Codex Alimentarius, Food Chemical Codex, European Union and also many other regulations. In 2017, the EU Food Safety Authority stated again cellulose is safe and suitable for human consumption and does not need an ADI (accepted daily intake).
Due to its neutral color and odor, VITACEL® Powdered Cellulose is suitable for almost any application.
VITACEL® Powdered Cellulose is used for moisture control, texturizing and stabilization, as practically inert filler and anti-caking agent in a broad range of food matrices.
