VITACEL® Oat Fiber was specifically designed for versatile use in food formulations. 

With a fiber content of 90–97%, the VITACEL® Oat Fiber mainly consists of the two key dietary fibers, cellulose and hemicellulose. These indigestible polysaccharides are derived from the cell wall structures of oat hulls or stems. They enable targeted fiber enrichment and offer potential for food reformulation in a wide range of applications.

Applications of VITACEL® Oat Fiber

VITACEL® Oat Fiber is flavorless and odorless, enhancing the nutritional value of foods without altering their typical texture or original taste. By enriching foods with VITACEL® Oat Fiber, products can achieve a fiber content, that qualifies them to be labeled as a “source of fiber” (at least 3 g per 100 g) or “high in fiber” (at least 6 g per 100 g). 

With over 145 years of experience in milling technology, JRS Food Ingredients offers oat fiber in different coloring and a broad range of fiber lengths and granulometries. After its introduction in the USA, extracted oat fiber was launched in Germany in 1984 and has since established itself as a versatile dietary fiber. It is ideal for fiber enrichment and is available in organic quality.
