NATRUE Approval for JRS’s Personal Care Product Portfolio
We are proud to announce that we received the NATRUE approval for the majority of our portfolio of sustainable, natural and biodegradable ingredients for the personal care industry.
Beyond our upcycled ingredients derived from apple, oat and orange, also most other products from our range of Rheology Modifiers, Sensory Improvers as well as Scrubs & Abrasives are now NATRUE approved.

What is NATRUE?
NATRUE is an international non-profit association.
In 2007, NATRUE was founded in order to get better regulation for natural and organic cosmetic (NOC) products and prevent the raise of greenwashing in the NOC sector.
NATRUE’s founding members acknowledged the need for an international and independently certified standard setting rigorous and transparent label criteria to reassure consumers and assist producers. As a result, the NATRUE label was launched in 2008.
Today, more than 10 years later, NATRUE is a renowned association which advocates for the protection and promotion of true natural and organic cosmetics worldwide.
Why is NATRUE approval for raw materials so important?
With an update of the NATRUE certification process, new raw materials, not already used in NATRUE labelled finished products, need to be NATRUE approved or certified.
It’s not possible anymore to get the raw materials used in their formulation tested by the organization in order to get the NATRUE label.
The association grants longer transition periods for raw materials already used in NATRUE certified products. Nevertheless, the used raw materials need to be NATRUE approved as well or the finished products need to be reformulated until the transition period is over.
For us, as a supplier of sustainable, natural and biodegradable ingredients, it is a matter of course to provide our customers raw materials that allow them the development of finished cosmetic products which can be certified as natural cosmetics.
By the way, for the same reason the majority of our product portfolio is COSMOS certified, too.
